Here's a statement of the obvious: The opinions expressed here are those of the participants, not those of the Mutual Fund Observer. We cannot vouch for the accuracy or appropriateness of any of it, though we do encourage civility and good humor.
For logged in users, when I click Activity, it does one the following:
1) It displays the message: "Permission Problem: You do not have permission to do that" 2) It simply does not display anything on the white background right under the title area 3) Browser gives an error.
Also, what is the purpose of text box with "Share" button on the Activity page? I did post to my activity page, left a comment to my post, deleted the activity etc. But, I am not sure what is the purpose of these self posted stuff there.
I do not think removing it would provide additional security as long as I can click on any of your posts and click on the name and see the activity. Even with all activity turned off you cannot hide if you post. It will show that you have been in this board.
Having said that I am not sure why others would be interested in when I changed my avatar. I think what others are interested what discussions I've started and what individual posts I've provided. So, I would not lose sleep if activity tab was removed completely.
