Am I the only one who hates the listing of top and bottom performing funds in most quarterly revies

edited January 2014 in Fund Discussions
The shadow has provided a link to the wsj listings and there are similar listings in Barrons. My problem is that except for 15 years the top and bottom performers are all leveraged funds from Rydex, Dimension , Profunds etc.All those listings tell me was that in the middle 2000s Latin America was good as was gold and gold has been bad recently.Even if past performance was somewhat of a predicter one has no idea from this table what the good funds to invest in are.

  • Jerry, I TOTALLY agree. Those list are completely USELESS. They tell you nothing that helps you chose a particular fund! I'm not sure who finds them of any use.
