@hondo, nope, the majority of American people did not vote for Trump. But, just as I understand that a trump supporter would blame the fires in LA on LGBTQ and the plane crash on DEI, I understand why a trump supporter would say that the majority of American people elected trump.

You are entitled to your opinion. But you are not entitled to your own facts.

<Perhaps you should pay attention to your own above statement about your own facts. Every report I have seen says Trump won the popular vote and every state, including the swing states. Maybe you are counting the people who did not vote. /blockquote

"He (Trump) carried every state." That is a lie, but then that's the MAGAt playbook for ya.

Hey Andy, your pants are on fire.
  • Well,I have better things to do than listen to a bunch of liberal cry-babies. So rant on libs. I'm gone, not to return to this thread.

    Hey Troll,

You are as dumb as BS1000.

    You said:

"The majority of American people elected Trump."

    I replied:

"nope, the majority of American people did not vote for Trump."

MAGA boy, you need to learn the difference between a majority and a plurality.

Like my mama always used to say, "You can't teach stoopid."
(We all knew what she meant.)

Hey Andy, your pants are on fire.
Your lie is one of the most easily disprovable lies in the history of lies. How do you think Harris got 226 EC votes if she didn't win any states?

May I suggest you get down to your local community college and take a remedial American government class.
  • As of Friday evening, the Acting US Attorney for Washington, D.C., fired about 30 US Attorneys who prosecuted January 6 insurrectionists. See Politico, DOJ fires dozens of prosecutors who handled Jan. 6 cases. Think about that for a moment: The convicted felons who attacked the Capitol have been pardoned and the loyal servants of the Constitution who prosecuted them have been fired. That fact should outrage every American.

Musk Says DOGE Halting Treasury Payments to US Contractors

Elon Musk said his “DOGE team” of government efficiency enforcers is shutting down some payments to federal contractors, suggesting that the world’s richest man may have access to sensitive systems used at the US Treasury Department.

    Story at Yahoo
  • Heather Cox Richardson's Letters from an American (Feb. 2, 2025)

"Today Ellen Knickmeyer of the Associated Press reported that yesterday two top security officials from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) tried to stop people associated with Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, from accessing classified information they did not have security clearance to see. The Trump administration put the officials on leave, and the DOGE team gained access to the information."

"After Musk’s team breached the USAID computers, cybersecurity specialist Matthew Garrett posted: 'Random computers being plugged into federal networks is obviously terrifying in terms of what data they're deliberately accessing, but it's also terrifying because it implies controls are being disabled—unmanaged systems should never have access to this data. Who else has access to those systems?'”
  • We are, as has been said repeatedly here, living through a coup. I've heard that lawyers will be working overtime to stop it. But that takes time. And someone else told me: you have to be savvy enough to know where, before which judge, to lodge a suit.

But this junk is happening so quickly! Will the conflict have to swiftly switch gears and become "extra-institutional?" In order to stop the Orange Lawless scumpigs? Too much has already happened and been put at risk. This is no Administration. This is an illegal takeover of the government.
  • Well many kudos to that judge!

Can he issue an arrest warrant for Mush and all his little gremlins while he's at it?

What the hello does that mean? Ha-ha. You are speaking "word salad" like that dunce harris.

  • I guess that Hondo doesn't know that Congress authorized the CFPB to try and prevent a repeat of the abuses which caused the 2008 financial disaster. It's pretty obvious that Trump and Musk don't really care about a repeat of 2008.
  • You know, when you are right, your right. I was wrong. Trump did not will every state.

Popular verses majority vote: FactCheck.org says by definition, Trump won the Popular Vote, but did not win the Majority Vote.

So there you are. I was wrong. It wasn't a lie, it was an error. I thought I was right when I wrote it. So have fun with it. Ha-ha.

Can anyone claim to be the winner when close to 90 million eligible voters didn't even bother to vote? For the record that's more votes than either candidate received. Link The electoral college system turned off many of them.

As for the vote tally trump (49.8%) v. Harris (48.3%). Link. Hardly an overwhelming mandate to do whatever the f**k you please,

Here's "What the hello (sic) that mean(s)."

It means, "It's our country as we now know it!"
Or perhaps more simply, "We're screwed!"

Truth be told, since 2016, I try to intentionally misspell at least one word in every post for the benefit of MAGAts everywhere, like yourself (hello! ^), who can't spell correctly, hoping maybe they'll (read "you'll") have a fighting chance at understanding what I posted.

Now please pass the freaking covfefe!

Now then, while LMAO, do tell me, WTF does "You are speaking 'word salad'..." mean?
Need to buy a vowel or a verb or maybe phone a friend for help there, bub?

Oh those deplorables, you can't stop them, you can only hope to contain them!

Aside: You almost have to feel sorry for a MAGAt who calls attention to an obviously misspelled word with a post that (Voila!) has a misspelled word and trumps it (see what I did there?) with improper English. But I, for one, don't.

I just hope you learned something. IMHO, reckless disregard for the truth is equivalent to lying, and that's what you showed here by not fact checking the idiocy you must have heard from Fox, OAN, Breitbart, or a similar fact-free far-right "news" outlet.
  • AndyJ: Can you honestly say you never made a mistake? At least I was man enough to admit it. Can YOU?

  • edited February 12
Of course I've made mistakes and continue to make them. I'm glad you admitted it; what I'm pointing out is that the ones you made, with so much gusto, were incredibly easy to have avoided. Just check reliable sources, fer christsake.

Maybe there's hope for the world yet, @hondo.
I suppose I'm not the only one, but I'm having a crisis of conscience, still holding onto a Trump-voter-friend. ... In days gone by, the Parties had disagreements. But the Repugnant Party has become a truth-free, obstructionist, subversive, oligarchic, corrupt, immoral organization. Sigh.

The Dems are not much better, but there truly is no equivalency. At least over there, they hold to respect for the rule of Law. Sieg Heil! Heil Orange!
  • @Crash - Try to not encourage them. The stench is already beyond bearable.

stillers: I'm sorry that I embarrassed you. Of course, everyone misspells sometime on these forums. I was just jerking your chain to get a reaction from you as I have been doing with all of the libs posting.

As for the meaning of "work salad", you should ask Ms Harris. Her actions invented the phrase.

  • @crash. Back in the day,,, and I mean way back,,, I used to say that the two parties were actually the right and left wings of the capitalist party. Nowadays ,,, to say the dems aren’t much better is really wrong. Because the repugnants are so horrible the dems are much better by default.

OK, I'll go along with that. But I AM sick and tired of Big Money choosing our candidates, and buying elections.
  • @Crash. OK. I will go along with that.
