Q&A With Ryan Issakainen,Senior Vice President And ETF Strategist, First Trust

FYI: First Trust, the sixth-largest ETF issuer in the U.S. in terms of assets, has carved out for itself a unique spot as an ETF innovator and trendsetter. Thus its funds are likely to turn up in any search into ETF investing.

The Wheaton, Ill.-based money manager was an early developer of enhanced index, or smart beta, ETFs. But the buck didn't stop there. Since its launch in 1991, the firm has brought to market 141 funds.

The company's lineup for ETF investing includes First Trust Dow Jones Internet (FDN), its largest ETF with $9.29 billion in assets and also its top-performing ETF in the past 10 years with an average annual return of 22.62% as of July 16.
